Do I need an appointment to visit J'aime Bridal?

Yes, you need an appointment to visit J'aime Bridal. You can easily book one on our appointments page. Most appointments last 90 minutes, during which our stylist will help you sort through our 350+ wedding dress styles, assist with fitting, and answer any questions. A dressing room will be reserved for you and your guests. While we try not to turn anyone away, our dressing rooms can be fully booked, especially on weekends. What should I wear to my bridal appointment?

Accepted Answer

We recommend wearing skin-toned undergarments or shapewear to your appointment, as dark-colored undergarments can show through light fabrics and be visible in photos. It's best to envision the dress exactly as you would wear it. Wearing a strapless bra is optional since many of our dresses have built-in support. Knowing your shoe height can also be helpful when measuring the dress for ordering. Some of our dresses can be ordered in shorter lengths for brides 5'5" and under.

How fast can I get my wedding dress?

Accepted Answer

You can purchase and take home any of our sample dresses right away! If you prefer a brand new dress or a different size or color, we have options available with a 1-week delivery. Rush options are also available at an additional charge and can take 1 to 10 weeks to arrive. While we excel at getting dresses quickly, we recommend ordering your dress at least 9 to 12 months before your wedding to ensure ample time for alterations. All our dresses ship from the Kansas City area by designers we've trusted for over 20 years.

Do you offer in-house alterations?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer in-house alterations! Our brides can work with two of the most accomplished tailors in the industry, whom we lovingly call our fairy godmothers. They can handle all basic bridal gown alterations and create custom pieces. We can order items like lace, beading, buttons, and fabric to match any dress purchased with us (some items take 1-8 weeks to arrive). Currently, we only offer alterations for dresses purchased from us and do not accept outside alterations.

How does the appointment gift certificate work?

Our brides have the option of purchasing a $25 or $50 consultation gift certificate for appointments on the weekend.  In additon to our 2 full service appointment options, brides can book a 1 hour weekend appointment at no charge.  This helps ensure that brides who book appointments show up, as we've had issues with no-shows in the past. The gift certificate can be used towards your dress or anything in the store, including veils, bridesmaids' dresses, headpieces, or cleaning and preservation services. No physical card will be given; it will be recorded in your profile and can be looked up by your name or phone number. We value your time and expertise, and this helps us provide the best service possible.

Can I bring small children with me to my bridal appointment?

We understand that children's presence is significant in many brides' special moments. However, due to the delicate nature of bridal gowns and the intimate setting we aim to create, we recommend that you bring children only if absolutely necessary. Our salon environment is designed to offer a serene and focused experience for the bride-to-be, and having children can sometimes present distractions or potential accidents with our beautiful gowns. If bringing your children is unavoidable, we kindly ask that you ensure they are supervised at all times to maintain a calm and safe atmosphere for everyone.
